Green Skill Response Strategies for Jobs Career Readiness Report

The Green Skill Response Strategies for Jobs Career Readiness Report (WP2) is aimed at assessing the skills training responses in environmental strategies and programmes for young people in YECs, VETS, TVETs and HE institutions.
This result presents a deep analysis of the current situation in partner countries concerning green skills in education and provides guidance on how to embark on the identification of current and future environmentally-driven skills needed for the new green economy and green jobs.
The partners developed two specific questionnaires for young people and educators, which were distributed to representatives of both target groups in the partner countries. The results of these questionnaires were compiled into national reports and finally into a common report available here in all partnership languages.
It is also possible to view the national reports in English.

Across the surveyed countries, there is a need to raise awareness and educate on green skills to promote green jobs for a sustainable future.

Educational institutions need to prioritize environmental issues, update curricula, and provide effective strategies for cultivating green skills among teachers and students.

There is a demand for institutions to place greater emphasis on environmental concerns and green career preparation to meet the requirements of a greening economy.

Various training approaches, including seminars, online courses, and external instructors can contribute to the development of green skills.

Organizations should focus on incorporating green skills into their training programs and curricula to meet the challenges of a green economy.

Overall, the surveys underline the importance of promoting green jobs and skills across educational institutions to ensure a skilled workforce for a more sustainable and eco-friendly future.
